Choice of material

Ask yourself the question of comfort: do you prefer sheets that are soft and silky to the touch, or is the main criterion that the fabric is hypoallergenic?
If your answer to the first question is "yes", look for a fitted sheet in a lightweight material like cotton: cotton silk, cotton percale, cotton voile or cotton gauze. If you're more interested in the hypoallergenic properties of the fabric, choose a fitted sheet in washed linen.
