Are you fed up with your drawers? Before getting rid of them, consider how you might transform them. Customise them with paint and stencils. Transform them with stickers. You can also display your collection of mini vases by arranging them artistically on top. Another solution: put a little rug on top of them.

Give your sofa a makeover
The seat is as soft as ever, but you've grown tired of the fabric covering. Throw a large checked or imitation fur throw over the top and add some cushions for a personal touch. You can also cover it with a king-size linen sheet in your favourite colour.

Take care of your carpet
Vacuum your carpet regularly to remove dust. Clean using a hoover with a brush, as it lifts the pile better. Never use a stain remover without testing it on a small, inconspicuous area. If your carpet is new: During the first months of use, a wool carpet loses its excess material in the form of fluff. The carpet should then be vacuumed without excessive scrubbing and never brushed with a hard brush.

Making wooden furniture last
Avoid using harsh products to clean your wooden furniture. Don’t place the furniture too close to a heat source, radiator or fireplace, as it can crack the wood. If you place vases filled with water on top, place them on small trays to protect your furniture from water marks.

Making bed linen last
Read the care labels carefully. Lay out your wet laundry immediately after washing, in the open air if possible. Avoid leaving the linen scrunched up, as this can distort the seams. Separate light and dark colours. Wash all pieces of the same set together so that they look the same. When your bedding is stored in your wardrobe, place small sachets of lavender in the piles for a touch of fragrance.
