Bought half price and for that it's good enough. I wouldn't spend full price on it though. I instructions are hard to follow as pieces aren't marked. It was made easier though going through the whole booklet and working out the pieces before starting.

The unit is very sturdy but very easily chipped to reveal the white colour underneath. One of the pieces was missing the pre-drilled holes so unusable but it wasn't an essential part. It is a great height and width for working on my laptop at home

Lovely product but the instructions are terrible and unless you're an experienced flat pack builder I wouldn't even try it. If you can get through the frustration of the build you'll be left with a fantastic bureau.

This is a nice bureau and the materials are reasonable quality. The product when assembled is very good; however, the work involved in assembly is quite intensive so expect to take 4 to 5 hours for this. We also had 2 components missing, which were replaced after a call to customer service and a wait of about a week for them to be shipped. For the price you pay I'd expect something a bit more complete.

Wanted a compact bureau where I could work from home now and again. This does the job. Really nice, looks great. Took a little while to put together but worth it

Just as all previous reviewers said, the desk takes a long time and a lot of patience to assemble. We were prepared to do that to get a nice looking desk of sensible quality. The desk is anything but that! It’s not well constructed (including missing holes and screws; parts are not numbered) and the resulting gaps between panels are visibly different, i.e. one door is lower than the other and barely closes, the slats that support the table are misaligned and so on. There are scratches and colour inconsistencies too. Worst of all, the description of the desk is incorrect as it is mainly made of MDF and chipboard with no more than 15-20% of solid wood, which is stated as the main material the desk is made of in the description. Unfortunately, all of it becomes obvious once the desk is part assembled, that is after 4-5 hours of hard work. Poor overall!

I read all the reviews before ordering and took on board the advice about taking about 6 hours to make. This was spot on. I organised everything and was very methodical going through the instructions. After 6 hours I had a lovely solid piece of furniture which is much admired by all who see it.

I knew this had loads of pieces, what I didn’t expect was scratched and dented pieces of wood, took ages to. Build and it’s impossible to check every piece before you start the builder job.

Mine was a dark grey but looks very blue . Colour is perfect about from the scratch dents in it .

Such a shame to be honest

This is a great modern work desk. It's really sturdy and looks fab. It does take a very long time to build but it's worth it in the end.
