Slofia Light Oak 2-Hook Wall Coat Rack natural LA REDOUTE INTERIEURS

I admit I expected higher quality. The wood grain is OK, but the biggest problem is that 2 of the 3 racks that I bought didn't fit together perfectly at the edges. That is, 2 of them are 1-2mm longer on one side where the 2 pieces of wood come together. This is NOT a premium handmade item, but something riding the border between what you'd expect from TEMU and something from IKEA. Once on the wall and covered with coats, the problems don't matter. I oiled my racks and they look nice. Design is great.

I have bought several items from La Redoute in the past and have always been impressed with the quality. Not so much with the particular item I received. Both coat hooks has screw hole guides which subtly make the hooks point to the left. Also, the positioning of the shelf's screw holes was slightly off which means that the rear of the shelf does not sit flush with the back of the body, meaning that it would dig into the wall when screwed in place if not sanded down first. Speaking of which, no screws or wall plugs were included to attach this to a wall.

It is as pretty as the images show, and the perfect size for a small room used occasionally for guests. However the finishing really does let it down.
