    This reactive finish stoneware carafe, with a sober design, will find its place in your interior decoration. Made in Portugal.

     •  Reactive enamel stoneware

    Quality
    The Marceau carafe is the result of manufacturing in reactive enamel stoneware. This finish is entirely handcrafted, each piece is unique and will bring a unique touch to your table..

    This technique involves the application of different enamels and oxides: Following a first firing, the craftsmen apply metal oxides to the pottery to create the desired effect. The pieces are then covered with an enamel glaze of a different colour, to bring out the metal flecking effect. The colour and rendering of the enamel is therefore dependent on the temperature of firing, baking time, the thickness of the enamel and how it is applied.

      Large & Heavy!

      bought these and they are really lovely but I wanted them for serving gravy and sauce and they are just way too heavy and large so had to return. Beautiful jugs though, but more for flowers and display maybe
