      top is veneer!

      This table would have achieved 5 stars but for the fact I thought from the description and cost that the top was solid timber walnut. Alas minor damage occured which if the top was solid wood, would have been easy to refinish but being veneer the top was scrap. Not what I thought I'd bought. As long as you treat it with kid gloves and not scratch or mark it you'll be ok. Beware

      Nice table but not the colour in the photos

      Wood is darker and slightly greyer somehow than the photos? Like the colour is slightly desaturated, whereas the wood in the photo is very warm. Otherwise nice quality and I have other nice items from La Redoute. Would just be wary that the colour is darker than what is shown. I'd also say the full price is a bit expensive, but I bought it on sale and returned.

      Completely different colour

      The wood colour doesn't look anything like what is advertised. Utterly amazed no one has noticed this.
