I bought this a month ago for our living room. We were looking for something stylish, ladderax style, but that would do the job! We have loved the bookshelf and are really pleased with how it looks. The only one thing is that the bigger books don't quite fit - we have had to use the top shelf for this, and hopefully we won't get anymore!

This shelving unit is *quite* nice and reminiscent of old Ladderax furniture if you like mid twentieth century design. Unlike real Ladderax though, the shelves are not adjustable and you just know they are veneered MDF not solid wood - they are a slightly darker shade than I was expecting from the photographs and I feel they were over priced and I could have sourced the genuine article for less, but that's my own fault. The dimensions of this item work for the space I had so no regrets. The lack of shelf adjustability is the main difficulty I have with this product. Complaining aside, it does look quite well. I'm looking forward to receiving the matching desk and hoping they will look good together.

Very sturdy and substantial unit. Very good quality and easy to put together as all the screw holes aligned so no adjustments had to be made. Very pleased with the end result.
