    Functional but poor quality finish

    Took a while to piece together after which the issues with the unsanded and rough woodwork with s patchy paint finish became clear. Two emails to customer support so far and neither acknowledged. Wouldn’t buy furniture from here again,

    Lovely bit of furniture, but over priced for flat

    Pros:

    - This looks lovely, we are overall pleased with it,

    - It looks like it does in the photo.

    Gripes however:

    - We did not realise it was flatpack - should have read the reviews! But it took over 3 hours to build, and for a flatpack item i think it is quite expensive.

    - Made to pay a lot for two man delivery, but it was flatpack that was not even that heavy.

    Great solid bench

    I bought this a few weeks ago and I absolutely love the quality of it. I managed to put it together by myself, even though it took me 4hrs! I didn't quite like the colour of it in my hallway so had it sprayed white. Luckily for me I have a son who is a carpenter so no charge for that...phew! It would have cost me an extra £150 to order the white one. I'm so pleased with how it looks in my hallway.

    Nightmare to construct

    I love the cabinet but it took ages to construct. No room for hand plus screwdriver in some parts of construction. I thought my hubby was going to put it on the bonfire at one stage. Top of seat and one if the drawers scratched but having to live with it as hubby refuses to go thru that again.

    Useful but not worth the money

    Nice unit just what I needed but nightmare to assemble, took a joiner 4 hours ,the dowels were too long and damaged the wood, would have been happy to pay maybe £60 but absolutely not worth even the sale price

    Love it!

    I bought this bench a few weeks ago and it arrived last week. It took me some time to assemble it but we absolutely love it now that it is completed. There are some dings & imperfections in the wood which I'm attributing to it being solid wood. Overall very pleased with the purchase - time will tell how it passes the test of time (i.e., being used everyday multiple times). It is superior to many other products I purchased and had to return 3 other shoe racks for the hallway before settling down with this one.

    Gorgeous

    Really impressed with the furniture we got from La Redoute. Really easy to build and brilliant quality compared to most flat pack stuff. The items we ordered have made such a difference to our hallway. Would order from La Redoute again and would recommend them items we bought.
