      Great desk

      This is a great desk, perfect for my home office. There is plenty of room for laptop, monitor and keyboard, plus my notebooks. Two handy draws which should hopefully keep my desk clutter free.

      Initially great, but now off gassing

      I received the desk and it looked great and appeared well made. However over the last few weeks the desk has started to give off a chemically smell. Now it’s at the point where the desk is unbearable strong smelling. I have checked the desk all over no signs of mould or dampness. I had my laptop sleeve inside the desk draw and when I took it out it stank so bad I had to throw it away and that laptop sleeve was an expensive one £60+. I am really disappointed now as the desk looked great to begin with.

      From reading online people report this phenomenon is known as ‘off gassing’ where the chemicals and wood glues in the manufacture process leach out.

      The smell is so bad I am going to have to remove the desk from the room into the shed or bin it. I have tried leaving baking soda in the room and an air purifier but the smell is too strong.

      Lovely well made desk

      This was a great buy for my sons room. Such a joy to receive something that was pre assembled, we only had to attach the legs which took 5 mins!
